Actor Adivi Sesh has written a formal letter to the Assam government to raise objections about planned resort construction near Kaziranga National Park. He asked officials to study the environmental risks and put the safety of local wildlife and residents first.
Environmental Concerns
Kaziranga is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that houses the endangered greater one-horned rhinoceros. Adivi stated that nature does not belong to humans and called for clear information about the land use. He warned that habitat damage and blocked wildlife paths can be very hard to fix once done.
Economy And People
The actor admitted that tourism helps the local economy and creates jobs. Even so, he argued that commercial projects must not ruin fragile landscapes. He also pointed out that local families who have lived near the park for generations need a voice in decisions about their home area.
Context
Resort and hotel projects near famous wildlife sanctuaries often spark debates between boosting local tourism revenue and protecting fragile natural habitats. UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Kaziranga have strict environmental rules to protect endangered species from human interference.
