IIM Ahmedabad Embraces AI in Classrooms and Expands Global Reach

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad is updating its MBA teaching methods by actively encouraging students to use artificial intelligence tools like ChatGPT alongside building independent decision-making skills.

International Expansion

Director Professor Bharat Bhasker states that operations at the Dubai campus remain normal despite regional tensions in the Middle East, with faculty flying in and out weekly. The Dubai location was chosen as a long-term strategy after running nearly 25 executive programmes there over the past decade. The Dubai government is supporting the campus facility, and IIM Ahmedabad serves as an anchor institution to help build the local education ecosystem.

Admissions And Placements

Women's representation in the MBA batch has risen to nearly 30 per cent. For the full-time residential MBA programme in Dubai, the first batch has graduated with over 60 to 70 per cent of students placed, while about 30 per cent are still exploring opportunities. Meanwhile, average salaries for the two-year Post Graduate Programme in Ahmedabad stand at around Rs 38 to 39 lakh, while the one-year programme records approximately Rs 42 lakh. Fee for the two-year programme is about Rs 25 to 26 lakh.
