Photo: Openverse - wikimediaIndia Front staged a march toward the Supreme Court today despite police refusing to grant permission. Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Priyanka Gandhi, Yogendra Yadav, Sanjay Raut and Supriya Sūḷe joined dozens of MPs and MLAs in the rally. All the leaders boarded a bus that headed to the court, while a few legislators walked the route on foot. The protest is part of a five‑day sit‑in demanding the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar, whom the front alleges has acted illegally and unconstitutionally. The group says evidence of vote‑rigging presented by its members shows a need to fight for democracy. India Front officials said they intended to plead their case before the Supreme Court, but police blocked the entry, deployed a heavy security presence and erected barricades at several points in Delhi. Despite the denial, the participants continued to the court premises, drawing a large crowd of supporters.
