Tesla will show the final production version of its Roadster electric sports car on October 1, 2026. The American car company shared this news on its official social media page along with a teaser picture that gives a look at the vehicle's rear design. The first concept version of this car was first shown to the public way back in November 2017. The new teaser image points to a large rear wing, full-width LED tail-lights, and four sideways-arranged nozzles at the back. These nozzles were first planned as part of the SpaceX option package for the car. Tesla has used phrases like "10.01" and "Go for launch" alongside its announcements. The company previously showed a concept that promised a maximum driving range of 620 miles, a top speed of over 250 miles per hour, and a zero to sixty miles per hour time of 1.9 seconds. People wanting to buy the car could book one by paying 38,000 British pounds. The final unveiling event will happen at Waco, Texas, where people who booked the car have been invited. Tesla has missed earlier timelines for this car, including a plan announced by brand boss Elon Musk in November 2025 that pointed to an April 2026 launch.
