Chinese Maker Benda Unveils Rock 707 Cruiser With Air Suspension

Chinese motorcycle maker Benda has revealed the new Rock 707 cruiser, which is scheduled to launch in the European market in mid-September. The motorcycle runs on a 692cc V-twin engine and comes with two key tech features: an electronically controlled adaptive air rear suspension system and an electronic clutch.

Suspension And Clutch

The dual-chamber adaptive air rear suspension responds to rider and passenger load as well as road conditions. It automatically lowers the bike by up to 30mm when it comes to a stop, and raises it back up once the rider moves again. This allows an adjustable seat height between 690mm and 720mm, which helps shorter riders handle the bike more easily. The bike also features an electronic clutch that allows clutchless gear changes and lets riders start, shift, and stop without using the clutch lever, while still keeping manual control available.

Engine And Hardware

The 692cc V-twin engine puts out 73hp at 9,000rpm and 68Nm of torque at 6,500rpm, tuned for low- and mid-range performance with power sent to the rear wheel via a belt drive. The chassis includes a USD fork and the rear air suspension, while braking is handled by a 320mm single front disc and a 260mm rear disc. The motorcycle has a kerb weight of 235kg and includes cruise control, traction control, and a 3.6-inch TFT display. Benda shares ownership under the Qianjiang Group with Keeway and Benelli, though there are currently no plans to bring Benda products to India through Keeway.
