24th Installment Timing
Farmers waiting for the 24th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana can expect the money before Diwali. The 23rd installment was released on June 20, 2026, and four months are completing around October 20. Since October 20 falls on Dussehra with banks closed for the holiday, payments are more likely to arrive after Dussehra and before the Diwali festival.
Mandatory Verification Steps
Eligible farmers receive six thousand rupees every year in three equal installments of two thousand rupees directly in their bank accounts. To avoid payment delays, farmers must complete e-KYC using OTP on the official portal, biometric verification at a common service center, or face authentication on the PM Kisan mobile app. Farmers also need to ensure their bank accounts are active and linked with Aadhaar, and that their land records and land seeding are properly verified through the revenue or agriculture department. Some states also require a Farmer Registry or farmer ID card for new registrations.
Context
The PM Kisan scheme provides financial support to farmer families for seeds, fertilizers, and other farming needs. Proper verification prevents payment delays and ensures money reaches eligible land-holding farmers directly.
