Viewers seeking weekend entertainment can choose from nine new films and series arriving across streaming platforms on October 16. The lineup features diverse titles ranging from crime comedies and psychological thrillers to historical adventures and supernatural horror. In the crime comedy starring Stanley Tucci, the actor plays Roger, a retired master thief who recruits a hacker and a French explosives expert to steal the Mona Lisa, only to reveal later that the two recruits are estranged siblings and he is their father. Another release, 'DC', features Lokesh Kanagaraj as a rebel criminal named Devdas whose heist ends with a police officer's death, forcing him to flee with the help of a sex worker named Chandra, played by Wamiqa Gabbi, in a story inspired by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's novel 'Devdas'. Other notable arrivals include a film depicting Sherpa mountaineer Tenzing Norgay's life and his historic 1953 Everest climb with Edmund Hillary, starring Gendun Phuntsok and Tom Hiddleston. Meanwhile, a Malayalam psychological thriller features Urvashi as an anxious widow named Asha who faces escalating trouble after a minor car crash brings her into a dangerous road conflict with Joju George's character Gijmon. A Turkish production follows con artist Asim Noyan using a mysterious map to seek a famous treasure while evading rival gangs and international treasure hunters under Yilmaz Erdogan's direction. Additional releases feature a dark comedy thriller set on a desolate Greek island where a billionaire's charity event is disrupted by militants taking guests hostage under a leader named Joan, starring Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Evans, Vincent Cassel, and Salma Hayek. In a regional drama, a Rameshwaram resident named Thavasi Muthu finds a gold pendant while fishing for coins to support his family, but returning it to authorities triggers severe trouble for his household. Horror fans also receive options with Sebastian Vanecek's 'Evil Dead Burn', following a grieving woman named Alice who moves in with in-laws only to encounter strange disturbances, alongside the supernatural horror sequel 'Final Destination Bloodlines' directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein.
