Senate likely blocks Clarity Act as Bitcoin slides 5% to $75,010
Reported by Shreya Kapoor (Senior Writer) · Livemint - Markets ·
Bitcoin fell up to 5.2% to $75,010 on Tuesday after the Senate signaled the long‑shot Clarity Act will not advance. The bill had been seen as one of the few possible Washington rescues for the crypto market. At the same time, growing worry over interest‑rate moves pushed speculative assets lower. Ether also dropped, slipping more than 8% at one point. Smaller tokens followed the same downward trend, and shares of crypto‑linked companies were hammered across markets. The combined effect left the industry facing a tougher outlook without clear legislative support.
