Modison Limited, Oberoi Realty Limited and LTM Limited all announced cash dividends on Friday, October 16, fixing Friday, October 23 as the record date for shareholders. Modison approved a 400% payout of ₹4 per equity share, its board saying the dividend applies to the FY 2026‑27. The company posted a net profit of ₹2,332.3 lakhs in Q2 FY27, more than double the ₹1,165.69 lakhs earned a year earlier, while revenue from operations rose to ₹27,902.59 lakhs from ₹14,516.21 lakhs. Oberoi Realty’s board approved a second interim dividend for FY 2026‑27 of ₹2 per share, equal to 20% of its ₹10 face value. Its consolidated profit for the quarter ended September edged up to ₹761.65 crore from ₹760.26 crore a year ago, but total income slipped 6% to ₹1,736.37 crore versus ₹1,844.84 crore previously. LTM Limited declared an interim dividend of ₹25 per share, a 2,500% payout on its ₹1 face value, also with October 23 as the record date. Investors must hold the shares before that date to receive any of the payouts.
Context
Dividends are paid only to shareholders on record at the specified date, so buying after the record date does not qualify for the cash payout. Companies often announce dividends alongside quarterly results to signal profitability and return cash to investors.
