X launches Cashtag feature for stock and crypto trading in the US
Reported by Tanvi Pillai (Section Editor) · TechCrunch ·
X has launched a new feature called Cashtag that allows users in the United States to place stock and crypto trades directly from their timelines through participating brokerages. The social network, owned by Elon Musk, rolled out the tool on Wednesday to bridge the gap between financial discussions and actual market activity on the platform. Initial partners involved in the launch include Interactive Brokers, Moomoo, Gemini, Kraken, and Coinbase. The feature builds on years of user behavior where people use X to discuss stocks and cryptocurrencies.
