Al Gore Says AI Industry Warnings Scare Him More Than Data Center Emissions
Reported by Sneha Patil (Staff Writer) · TechCrunch ·
Al Gore is less worried about carbon emissions from AI data centers than he is about the warnings coming directly from the artificial intelligence industry itself. Gore shared this view during an interview with TechCrunch this week. He was joined by Lila Preston, who is the head of growth equity at their investment firm, Generation Investment Management. Gore has spent more than twenty years as a prominent voice in the climate movement. While people currently protest data centers on the streets over environmental concerns, Gore stated that he does not lose sleep over those specific emissions.
