Fitzroy River chosen as Brisbane Olympic rowing site despite crocodiles

This waterway in Rockhampton is home to a population of five hundred crocodiles. Assessors gave the rocky course the green light after it passed its review with flying colours. Safety worries about the local reptile population were dismissed by officials as the venue choice was finalized.
