India’s Cricket Teams Refuse Asia Cup Trophy from ACC Chief, BCCI Says It’ll Be Kept at Headquarters

India's men's and women's cricket squads declined to take the Asia Cup winners' trophy when it was offered by Asian Cricket Council president Mohsin Naqvi, who also serves as chief of the Pakistan Cricket Board. The refusal was noted during the post‑tournament hand‑over ceremony. BCCI secretary assured that the trophies will be placed at the board's headquarters in Mumbai. The BCCI statement said the trophies remain property of the board and will be displayed at the office. No further remarks were given by the players or officials at the time.
