Apple plans to announce several new hardware items by the end of October 2026, including a redesigned MacBook Pro with an OLED touchscreen. Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman states that Apple has invited select media members to a product event in Los Angeles on October 28. New products might start appearing as early as October 27.

Potential Devices

The new MacBook Pro models could feature thinner and lighter 14-inch and 16-inch designs with OLED panels replacing mini-LED screens for better contrast. These units may use M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, while other reports point to a separate 14-inch MacBook Pro running an M6 chip. A 24-inch iMac with an M6 chip, new colours, and performance boosts is also possible. Meanwhile, an OLED iPad Mini powered by the A20 Pro chipset is in development, featuring a landscape front camera, updated speakers, and better water resistance. Apple has not yet confirmed these release dates or specifications.

iPhone and Mac Updates

Apple has confirmed that the iPhone Duo arrives in India on October 23, with pre-orders starting on October 16 at 5:30 PM. The company will also offer a unified memory configuration of 512GB in the Mac Studio by the end of October.

Context

Apple frequently refreshes its computer and tablet lineups in the autumn months ahead of the key holiday shopping season. Major hardware redesigns, such as the shift to OLED display technology, often roll out gradually across different device categories over multiple years.
