Rallies Announced
Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati announced that national coordinator Akash Anand will address five major public meetings across Uttar Pradesh. The rallies are scheduled for October 28, 2026, in Bulandshahr, November 2 in Saharanpur, November 20 in Ayodhya, November 22 in Agra, and November 29 in Kanpur Nagar.
Other Events
Akash Anand will also attend other key events outside Uttar Pradesh. On November 26, 2026, marking Constitution Day, he will participate as the chief guest at a seminar in Punjab. Following that, on December 6, 2026, he will address a seminar in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, on the death anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
Return Ruled Out
Mayawati dismissed all speculation about the return of Ashok Siddharth to the party. She stated that Siddharth will not be taken back into the BSP under any circumstances or at any cost. She added that past unpleasant incidents within the party were primarily due to Siddharth rather than Akash Anand.
Party Roles
In addition to Akash Anand's schedule, Ishan Anand, the younger son of Anand Kumar who completed his law studies in London, will join the party's central office in Delhi. He will assist with election work and paper-work under the national president's direct guidance.
Context
Political parties frequently adjust their organizational structures and leadership roles ahead of upcoming state elections to mobilize core voter bases. The BSP relies heavily on its organizational network and public outreach events in states like Uttar Pradesh to connect with its supporters.
