Ticket reservations for the upcoming epic‑scale film Ramayana start on October 20, coinciding with the Dussehra celebrations. The movie, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi, is slated for a global theatrical launch on November 5, 2026. Director Nitesh Tiwari confirmed that fans can secure seats through all major online ticketing services and can opt for premium screens such as IMAX. The producers – Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios working together with Yash’s Monster Mind Creations – plan the project as a two‑part retelling of the classic Indian saga. Music for the first instalment is a rare collaboration between Oscar‑winning composer Hans Zimmer and Indian maestro A. R. Rahman. The release will be dubbed in five regional languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam – to reach a pan‑Indian audience. The sequel is pencilled in for a Diwali 2027 release, completing the two‑film arc. The announcement also noted a recent interview where veteran Addinath M Kothare recalled his first school encounter with Ranbir Kapoor and dismissed online criticism of the film as algorithm‑driven noise.
Context
India’s tradition of releasing big‑budget movies during festivals helps maximise box‑office collections, and multi‑language dubbing is common for pan‑Indian projects aimed at diverse regional markets.
