New hosts and high ratings launch latest series of Strictly Come Dancing

Strictly Come Dancing is back on television for its 24th series with a brand new presenting team. Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe have taken over hosting duties from Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, who left last year. The season premiere brought in an average of 5.3 million viewers on Saturday. This gave the show a 49.2% share of the overnight ratings, marking a 7% increase compared to last year. The show also stayed near the top of the iPlayer most popular chart on Sunday.
