Security Fears

A Mumbai police team transporting three men accused of shooting at actor Tiger Shroff turned back and spent the night in Kota after suspecting they were being followed. The three suspects had fled Mumbai hours after the incident and were arrested aboard the Pune-Jaipur Superfast Express in Kota on Monday morning following a tip-off.

Arrests And Court Order

The suspects were identified as Phool Singh, Hrithik Mahto and Rehab Rahisuddin, with none of them being minors. Deputy Commissioner of Police Raj Tilak Roushan stated that two of the accused are from Haryana and one is from Bihar, and two of them fired five to six rounds at the actor's car. Police believe the intention was to kill, though the motive remains unclear and will be investigated after interrogation. Officers also found the motorcycle used in the attack in Mumbai's Andheri area, though no weapons were recovered from the suspects yet.

Transit And Return

After a local court in Kota granted a two-day transit remand and a medical examination was conducted, the Mumbai team left for Mumbai in the evening. However, after noticing people allegedly following them, the team stopped at a police station and returned to Kota. They plan to resume the journey once security arrangements are satisfied, likely with an escort from the Rajasthan police.

Context

High-profile celebrity security cases often involve rapid interstate transit and tight coordination between multiple state police forces. Arrests made on long-distance trains require careful route planning and transit custody procedures under judicial supervision.
