Film producer Amit Jani says a white car tried to stop his Defender SUV on National Highway 352A near Devdu village in Sonipat by showing a gun. He says the incident happened around 8:30 pm on a Sunday as he was driving back from a pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi in Jammu toward Noida. According to Jani, the white vehicle overtook his car between Kundli and Murthal, then the occupants raised a hand and displayed a weapon, forcing him to slow down. The driver of the white car did not stop and sped away. Jani, who was travelling with film director Bharat Singh and other crew members, reported the threat to police by dialing 112 and then went to Kundli police station for help. He later filed a written complaint at Murthal police station, which is now investigating. Jani also mentioned that he has previously received threats from gangsters Rohit Godara and Goldi Barad. The central government has assigned him Y‑category security, which includes eight personnel, but the protection is currently allocated for Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. Jani said the police have begun probing the incident and he has asked for action against the attackers. ## Context Incidents of road‑side intimidation involving armed gangs have risen on busy highways in northern India, prompting calls for stronger patrols and faster police response.
