Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk will be in India from October 21 to 23 for a three‑day visit that includes bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Ministry of External Affairs said the trip aims to deepen the India‑EU strategic partnership. Tusk’s visit marks his second trip to India as Poland’s prime minister; his first was in 2010. He comes at Modi’s invitation and will be accompanied by Finance and Economy Minister Andrzej Domanski and a large business delegation. On October 22 the two leaders will meet in New Delhi to review the full spectrum of bilateral relations, which were upgraded to a Strategic Partnership during Modi’s visit to Poland in August 2024. They will also exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest. Later, Tusk will travel to Bengaluru to meet business stakeholders from the IT and space sectors. An India‑Poland Business Forum is scheduled for October 22 in New Delhi and October 23 in Bengaluru. The forum will focus on trade and investment, defence, emerging technologies, renewable energy, education, culture and people‑to‑people ties. Tusk previously visited New Delhi in 2017 for the India‑EU Summit while serving as president of the European Council. ## Context The visit reflects a broader push by both India and the EU to strengthen economic and strategic links, building on the strategic partnership declared in 2024.
