The Arrests

Three men were caught aboard the Pune-Jaipur Superfast Express at Kota Junction in Rajasthan on Monday morning after allegedly firing five rounds at Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff's car in Mumbai on Sunday evening. Mumbai Police DCP Raj Tilak Roushan contacted his batchmate Kota SP Tejaswani Gautam about the suspects, leading to a coordinated team of over two dozen personnel surrounding the general coach and apprehending them within fifteen minutes. The arrested individuals are Phool Singh, Hrithik Mahto, and Rehan Rahisuddin, with police clarifying that all three are adults despite initial confusion over one suspect's age.

Investigation and Security

The Mumbai Crime Branch's Anti Extortion Cell is handling the case after obtaining a two-day transit remand from a local court. Investigators state that the shooters received money to target the actor and were promised safe passage abroad, with Rehan having received thirty-seven thousand rupees. According to Hindustan Times, police believe the assailants intended to kill Shroff, though the exact motive remains unconfirmed pending further interrogation. Following the attack, Mumbai Police increased security measures by stationing an extra police vehicle outside the homes of Salman Khan and filmmaker Rohit Shetty while ramping up patrols near Aamir Khan's Bandra residence.
