Honda has introduced the Elevate V CVT variant, priced at Rs 13.79 lakh, into showrooms across India. The model is part of the 2026 Elevate facelift that starts at Rs 11.80 lakh and sits in the 4.2‑4.5 million‑rupee SUV segment where automatic transmission demand is high. The V CVT sits above the base SV trim and offers a continuously variable transmission as its automatic option.

Features

The V CVT keeps most facelift exterior updates: a glossy black grille, projector headlamps, dual‑function LED DRLs and a shifted Honda badge on the bonnet. It lacks a full‑width LED strip and fog lamps, though the housings suggest them. The bumpers use slatted sections with a skid‑plate look. Steel 16‑inch wheels with covers are standard, while a sunroof and roof rails are omitted. At the rear, a shark‑fin antenna, roof spoiler, high‑mounted brake lights, parking sensors and dual‑tone bumper are fitted; tail lamps are connected but not fully illuminated. Boot space measures 458 litres, but there is no boot light. Inside, the cabin follows a black‑grey dual‑tone theme. Electrically adjustable ORVMs are manual foldable. The driver seat has six‑way manual adjustment, tilt‑and‑telescopic steering, manual IRVM, engine start‑stop and traction control. An 8‑inch touchscreen, semi‑digital instrument cluster and automatic climate control are provided, along with USB‑C, USB‑A, 12 V outlet and electronic parking brake. Rear passengers get AC vents, ISOFIX mounts, USB‑C ports, 60:40 split seats and three adjustable headrests. The Elevate continues with a 1.5‑litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque. Fuel‑economy ratings are 15.31 km/l for the 6‑speed manual and 16.61 km/l for the CVT. Paddle shifters are available on the CVT.

Context

The V CVT aims to give budget‑focused buyers a value‑for‑money option in a crowded compact SUV market, matching the growing preference for automatic gearboxes in this price bracket.
