Rajkummar Rao's legal drama Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam earned Rs 2 crore in India on its first Monday across 3,281 shows, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. This marked a 45.2 per cent drop from Sunday's collection of Rs 3.65 crore, bringing its domestic earnings to Rs 11.15 crore and its worldwide collection to Rs 15.41 crore. The film recorded its lowest daily collection so far after opening at Rs 2.35 crore on Friday and earning Rs 3.15 crore on Saturday. Despite favorable responses from various quarters, the film failed the crucial first Monday test and trailed behind director Balaji Mohan's critically panned horror comedy Nayyi Navelli, which earned Rs 2.50 crore across 4,804 shows on Monday and has reached a domestic total of Rs 14.15 crore and a worldwide collection of Rs 19.10 crore. Both films struggled to stand on their feet as Nelson Dilipkumar's Jailer 2 continued a triumphant run by minting Rs 42.35 crore on Monday across 15,215 shows, taking its total domestic earnings to Rs 242.25 crore and its worldwide gross to Rs 477.75 crore.
