Royal Enfield has launched a special edition motorcycle called the Classic 650 Hypershift to celebrate the company's 125th year in business. The Chennai-based manufacturer has priced this new model at Rs 4.26 lakh.
Availability And Sales
The bike is strictly limited to 125 units in each key market, which includes India. Because of this small count, buyers must register before they can purchase one. Registrations are open until October 28, and actual sales will take place on that same day. Customers who successfully place an order will receive their vehicle deliveries starting in November.
Design And Price Difference
Underneath the special paint, the Hypershift edition is mechanically identical to the regular production version of the Classic 650, with no changes to its core design. Its special features include a bespoke hypershift finish on both side panels, other handcrafted details, and quilted seats. The Rs 4.26 lakh price tag is Rs 58,000 higher than the base Vallam Red colour priced at Rs 3.68 lakh, and Rs 43,500 higher than the top Black Chrome colour priced at Rs 3.82 lakh.
Context
Limited-edition motorcycles are often released by manufacturers to mark major milestone anniversaries and appeal to collectors. Royal Enfield is one of the oldest motorcycle brands in continuous production, making its 125-year history a significant milestone for the firm.
