Samajwadi Party will unveil its Jan‑Man manifesto on 26 November 2026, the day Constitution Day is observed, ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. The document is timed to coincide with the adoption anniversary of the Indian Constitution. Party president Akhilesh Yadav announced the release and said the manifesto will target backward classes, Dalits and minority communities. Former U.P. chief secretary Alok Ranjan explained that the manifesto will focus on socially and economically marginalized sections, including women, backward classes, Scheduled Castes, minorities and other neglected groups. It will be accompanied by separate policy papers for women, youth and a law‑and‑order agenda. The party plans to follow the main launch with region‑specific and district‑centric manifestos in the weeks thereafter. SP spokesperson Nasser Salim said the timing reaffirms faith in the Republic and that the manifesto is a public covenant inspired by justice, liberty, equality and fraternity. Another spokesperson, Ram Pratap Singh, reiterated the party’s belief in the sanctity of the Constitution and its commitment to fundamental rights. Political analyst Asad Rizvi noted that choosing Constitution Day signals an outreach to Scheduled Castes, recalling Dr B.R. Ambedkar’s role in drafting the Constitution and adding weight to the party’s social‑justice agenda. ## Context The Constitution Day marks the adoption of India’s supreme law and is often used by parties to underline commitments to equality and rights, making the date a symbolic platform for social‑justice messaging.
