Trump plans to build military complex at Washington arch site

US President Donald Trump announced plans to turn a proposed triumphal arch into a military complex. This new facility will house and deploy drones and snipers to handle national security. Project planners intend to build this structure near the Arlington Memorial Bridge, right next to the cemetery. Meanwhile, veterans have filed lawsuits to challenge the construction of the arch and its disruption of local sightlines. On the regulatory side, the Federal Aviation Administration has already cleared aviation concerns related to the proposed site.
