The upcoming film The Paradise starring Nani has received an 'A' certification from the Central Board of Film Certification ahead of its worldwide theatrical release on September 24, 2026. Directed by Srikanth Odela, the project marks a reunion for the actor and director following their previous work on the film Dasara. SLV Cinemas produced the movie, which will release in eight languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, English, Spanish, Bengali, Kannada, and Malayalam.
CBFC Cuts and Changes
The censor board mandated several modifications before passing the film on September 21. Makers were asked to replace alternate visuals of a crow on the National Flag and modify the opening visuals of a pregnant woman. A foul word was permitted in one place but muted elsewhere, while a tattoo containing a foul word was covered using CGI. The term 'denotified tribe' was deleted from the film. Additionally, the board reduced the duration of violent stabbing scenes, removed ten other violent sequences involving torture and blood spills, and modified or muted words concerning armed struggle against the country at three locations. References to a real-life assassination, a historical event, and a real-life cigarette brand were also censored.
Release Details
According to the censor certificate, the final runtime of The Paradise is 173.04 minutes, which translates to 2 hours, 53 minutes and 4 seconds. Ahead of the theatrical debut, the promotional campaign has already launched a teaser alongside songs titled 'Aaya Sher' and 'Yeshanagula'. Addressing the adult rating, the makers stated that while the film's emotions are for everyone, the rawness of Nani's character Jadal is strictly for adults.
