The Central Board of Secondary Education starts taking student name lists for the 2027 Class 10 and 12 board exams tomorrow on September 24. Affiliated schools can send these student lists on the official website cbse.gov.in up to October 21 without paying any extra fine.
Important Dates and Fees
For Class 10, schools must send lists for the first exam session happening in February and March, while the second session needs separate filings. Students from India pay 1,600 rupees for five subjects, and 320 rupees for each extra subject. If schools miss the October 21 deadline, a late fine of 2,000 rupees applies per student for submissions made between October 22 and October 30. Schools can fix errors in the submitted lists from November 2 to November 4.
Rules and Details
Schools must upload accurate dates of birth, genders, parent names, selected subjects, student photos, and categories. For Class 12, only students who passed Class 10 from a recognized board by the 2025 academic year can register. The board states that once forms go in, it will not accept any changes to subjects, new admissions except transfers, or special concessions unless specified.
