Representative image · PexelsIndian benchmark stock indices traded higher on Wednesday, supported by lower crude oil prices and reduced worry over high energy costs. Brent crude stayed under the one hundred dollar mark because supplies returned through a main Saudi Arabian pipeline near the Red Sea. At the same time, the US and Iran situation kept traders cautious. US President Donald Trump warned of more military action against Iran on Tuesday while also calling talks with mediators productive. The Nifty fifty index went up zero point five percent to reach twenty three thousand four hundred forty six point eight zero. The BSE Sensex rose zero point four percent to hit seventy four thousand eight hundred twenty eight point two five. Before the closing auction, the two indices were up zero point four four percent and zero point three six percent respectively. Analysts note that lower oil prices help India because the country depends heavily on buying oil from abroad. After showing weakness near the twenty three thousand five hundred mark on Tuesday, the Nifty fifty bounced back on Wednesday with a gain of one hundred seventeen points. The daily chart formed a long bull candle that nearly covered the bearish candle from Tuesday. This points to a possible push towards the twenty three thousand six00 resistance level. Experts say a clear break above twenty three thousand six hundred could start fresh buying, while drops to the twenty three thousand two hundred fifty support level may offer a chance to buy. In individual stocks, healthcare technology company IKS saw a major breakout this week after moving in a narrow range for months. The price sits near the one thousand nine hundred fifty to one thousand nine hundred sixty rupee hurdle, backed by higher trading volume and positive RSI signals. Meanwhile, a major fintech stock bounced back sharply on Wednesday following a two week drop, keeping its pattern of higher tops and bottoms intact.
