More than 3 lakh students have registered on the Bihar Vidya Sathi app, and roughly 73 % of them come from rural areas, Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari said, calling the figure encouraging a month after the app launched. ## Review Meeting A review meeting was convened in the Bihar School Examination Board auditorium on Wednesday, chaired by Tiwari. Education Department Secretary Rajiv Roshan, BSEB Chairman S Thyagarajan and other officials attended. They examined the board’s functioning, upcoming examination arrangements, vocational education and the academic future of students. ## Technology in Exams The board discussed steps to make examinations more technology‑driven, transparent and secure. Plans include linking each student’s APAAR ID with face‑ID verification at exam centres and using computer‑based tests to speed result declaration. ## Vocational Reforms Tiwari urged alignment of vocational courses with current job markets. He asked officials to promote modern programmes such as animation designing, artificial intelligence, mobile repairing, robotics and electrical‑electronics, while dropping outdated trades. He also directed a push to raise awareness of vocational paths among learners. ## Support for High‑Achievers and Drop‑outs The board is considering letters for students who clear Class 10 and 12 with first division and easier admission to Simultala Residential School for talented candidates. Officials discussed financial incentives and a strategy to reconnect drop‑outs after Class 10 with further education or skill training, and to promote ITIs and industrial training as career options.
