Rajkummar Rao makes surprise cameo as Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar releases tomorrow

Rajkummar Rao appears in a surprise cameo as Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar hits theatres tomorrow. The romantic comedy is backed by producer Luv Ranjan and carries his signature style. Six fresh faces—Alisha Chopra, Sparsh Walia, Sakshi Vaidya, Kunal Aryan Vaid, Sargun Kaur Luthra and Tushar Chhibber—lead the cast. Anuj Saini directs the film. Rao’s brief appearance arrives at a key point in the plot and pushes the story forward. This is Rao’s third collaboration with Luv Ranjan. He starred as the main character in Chhalaang (2020), a film released on Prime Video and directed by Hansal Mehta, co‑starring Nushrratt Bharuccha and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub. He later narrated the Netflix release Wild Wild Punjab (2024). He is also slated to play cricketer Sourav Ganguly in the 2027 biopic Dada: The Sourav Ganguly Story, which Luv Ranjan will produce under director Vikramaditya Motwane.
