Yamaha has unveiled a major facelift for the 2027 MT‑125, introducing a completely new design language. The front fascia now features a revised LED headlight cluster with the bi‑LED projector shifted above the DRLs and housed in a translucent cowl. Fuel‑tank shrouds and the tank itself have been restyled, showing repositioned LED turn indicators and contrasting translucent highlights that also serve as a radiator cover. Seats receive a dual‑tone colour scheme and new side body panels complete the fresh look. The bike keeps the same 125 cc liquid‑cooled single‑cylinder SOHC 4‑valve engine, delivering 15 PS and 11.5 Nm through a six‑speed gearbox. Updated equipment includes a TFT instrument cluster with navigation and smartphone connectivity, traction control, a slipper clutch, 41 mm USD front forks, a rear mono‑shock, a swingarm, and single disc brakes front and rear, with a radially mounted front disc, all mounted on Yamaha’s Deltabox perimeter frame. Colour options are Redline White, Ice Storm, Icon Blue and Tech Black. While the MT‑125 is not slated for the Indian market, it will reach European showrooms in the first quarter of 2027, sparking speculation that the Indian‑spec MT‑15 may receive a similar redesign. ## Context Both MT‑125 and MT‑15 belong to Yamaha’s aggressive naked‑bike family, and design updates often roll across models, making a facelift on the MT‑125 a possible sign of a future MT‑15 refresh.
