Kerala chief minister V. D. Satheesan said his state will host the full “No Idea Is Final” show by photographer Raihan Vadra after Delhi’s Bikaner House removed a number of protest images from the exhibition. Raihan Vadra, nephew of Rahul Gandhi and son of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, had been displaying photographs that recorded street protests over the past six months. Bikaner House officials warned him on October 21 that the show could be shut down unless the contested pictures were taken down by 5 p.m. that day. Vadra replied that the images carried no political slogans, only documentary evidence, and that he had submitted the exhibition plan to the venue well before the deadline. Priyanka Gandhi condemned the removal, calling it absurd and accusing the authorities of silencing young voices. A Bikaner House representative said they were not authorized to comment. The Bharatiya Janata Party labeled the claims as fake news, and spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari said the venue’s rules forbid political content and suggested Priyanka find a different route for her son’s political debut. Satheesan posted on X on October 23, tagging both Raihan and Priyanka, and pledged that Kerala would welcome the exhibition without any cuts or conditions. ## Context Art exhibitions in India sometimes face scrutiny when they touch on recent political events, as venue policies can restrict material deemed political. Kerala’s invitation highlights a regional contrast to the Delhi venue’s stance.
