Bravo has renewed three popular unscripted shows and ordered two new projects ahead of its Fan Fest event in Charleston, South Carolina. The network picked up "In the City," "Next Gen NYC," and "Southern Hospitality" for new seasons.
Show Lineup
"In the City," a spinoff of "Summer House," secured a second season and has already started filming in New York City. "Next Gen NYC" also earned a renewal following its second season and has begun production. Meanwhile, "Southern Hospitality," set in Charleston, will return for another season even though cast changes loom, as Leva Bonaparte announced she is moving on from the show while staying on as an executive producer alongside her husband Lamar Bonaparte.
New Orders
Along with the renewals, Bravo ordered "Next Gen Atlanta," expanding its youth-focused franchise to follow children of celebrities and prominent locals. The network also greenlit its first scripted microdrama titled "Charmed by a Southern Monster." The new scripted project launches on November 9 on the Peacock app and stars Craig Conover as Hunter Caldwell alongside actor Nicole Mattox as Maeve Marchant.
Context
Cable networks and streaming platforms often time major program renewals and series greenlights around fan conventions to maximize audience excitement and social media engagement. Scripted microdramas represent a growing trend of bite-sized entertainment designed specifically for mobile app viewing.
