Adani Group announced it will invest more than ₹1 trillion in West Bengal over the next few years. The money will flow into ports, logistics networks, power generation, road construction, green cement production and new data centres. A separate ₹4,000‑crore hospital project is already under construction in New Town, aiming to expand the state’s medical capacity. The group also said it will back the revamp of Kumartuli Ghat, the historic pot‑makers’ quay in Kolkata, to preserve cultural heritage while improving the area’s facilities. The investment plan covers both industrial growth and community development, signalling the conglomerate’s confidence in the state’s market potential. State officials welcomed the pledge, noting the expected job creation and boost to local supply chains. The projects are slated to begin in the coming months, with the hospital expected to be completed within five years.
