Boxer Devin Haney Signs Multi-Fight Agreement With DAZN

Devin Haney has signed a multi-fight deal with DAZN, with the broadcaster officially announcing the agreement following the collapse of a proposed fight with Shakur Stevenson. Haney holds an undefeated record of 33 wins with no losses and 15 knockouts. The 27-year-old fighter captured the WBO welterweight championship last November through a unanimous decision win over Brian Norman Jr. and has not stepped into the ring since.
Future Fights
Haney stated that the partnership removes doubt about making major fights happen and puts him in a position to face anyone next. Potential future bouts include a unification match against IBF champion Liam Paro. Earlier plans for a matchup against Shakur Stevenson fell through after discussions collapsed, while talks for a July bout against mandatory challenger Keyshawn Davis ended when Davis withdrew after rejecting the terms. DAZN executives noted they expect the new deal to pave the way for marquee matchups for Haney on their network.
Context
Welterweight boxing matches often involve complex negotiations between multiple promotional bodies and streaming platforms. Multi-fight broadcasting deals help secure high-profile matchups by locking fighters into specific networks where rival promoters can more easily reach financial agreements.
