Yamaha has revealed a new Legend Blue colour option for the 2027 XSR900 GP, giving the retro sport heritage motorcycle a tribute look inspired by racer Christian Sarron and his championship-winning Sonauto Yamaha. This new shade joins the Power Grey option alongside three other colours carried over from last year. Underneath the 1980s and 1990s GP-bike styling, the motorcycle shares its mechanical setup with the standard XSR900. It runs on an 890cc, triple-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that pumps out 119hp at 10,000rpm and 93Nm of torque at 7,000rpm.
Features and Pricing
The machine comes packed with modern rider aids as standard, including cruise control, traction control, a quickshifter, ride modes, and a 5-inch TFT display. Hardware duties are handled by a fully adjustable 46mm KYB upside-down front fork paired with a fully adjustable KYB monoshock in the rear. The starting price stays the same at EUR 11,499. Much like many other Yamaha models, this bike will not be sold in the Indian market.
Context
Motorcycle manufacturers often use special paint schemes and limited color updates to celebrate their historic racing heritage and keep older platforms feeling fresh. The XSR lineup specifically blends classic styling cues from past decades with current engine and chassis technology.
