Platform Launch
India Mobile Congress 2026 has announced a new platform called 'Viksit Tech 47' to identify and build global technology brands from India, linking directly to the national Viksit Bharat by 2047 vision. This initiative forms part of the tenth edition of the India Mobile Congress, which will take place from October 7 to 10, 2026, at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi. Techarc serves as the research partner for this project.
Focus Areas And Research
The platform supports companies working in consumer devices, wearables, audio, video and surveillance, connected mobility, smart home, Internet of Things, components, manufacturing, artificial intelligence, deep tech, and software-as-a-service platforms. The project will result in a flagship report studying over 200 Indian technology companies through founder interviews and expert insights. Ramakrishna P., CEO of India Mobile Congress, stated that the platform aims to help Indian companies compete globally rather than just locally.
Awards And Scale
The initiative features the Dr. Zarabi Indigenisation Award for Startups to honour innovations reducing import dependence in hardware, gadgets, and appliances. Operating under the theme "Scale Without Boundaries," the tenth edition of the event is organised by the Department of Telecommunications and the Cellular Operators Association of India, expecting over 1.5 lakh attendees, more than 300 exhibitors from over 100 countries, and 1,500 technology use cases.
