Massive 308-Wheel Truck Carrying Bioplastic Machine Draws Crowds in UP

A massive truck featuring 308 wheels and carrying a heavy bioplastic factory machine has drawn large crowds of curious onlookers on National Highway 19 in Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh. The heavy machine originates from Belgium and arrived at an Odisha port by sea route, before traveling by road through Jharkhand and Bihar to reach Uttar Pradesh on its way to Lakhimpur.

Route And Police Support

The equipment is destined for a new bioplastic manufacturing plant being set up in Kumbhi, Lakhimpur. As the giant vehicle entered Uttar Pradesh and stopped in Chandauli, hundreds of local residents rushed to the highway to catch a glimpse after seeing viral videos of the journey on social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Traffic Deputy SP Krishna Murari Sharma stated that police personnel were deployed alongside the truck to control traffic and safely guide the vehicle through the district border toward Lakhimpur Kheri.

Managing Highway Obstacles

Transporting the oversized cargo along the highway presents major challenges due to the extreme height of the load, which gets blocked by foot overbridges and hoardings. An accompanying support team clears the path ahead of time, using hydra machines to lift hoardings and large cranes to raise foot overbridges out of the way. Operators noted that over two dozen obstacles were cleared since the journey began in Odisha, with roughly half a dozen similar barriers remaining along the path to Lakhimpur.
