Employees of Swarna Gramam and Swarna Ward Sachivalayams plan to hold a 'Chalo Vijayawada' protest on Sunday to press for their demands.
Demands and Protest Plan
The workers want two notional increments, payment of pending wages, and a clear promotion system. They claim they have faced unfair treatment regarding promotions and other benefits. The protest plan involves gathering on BRTS Road and staging a demonstration at Dharna Chowk.
Police Warning
Police have denied permission for the event. Krishna district Superintendent of Police V. Vidyasagar Naidu warned that strict action will follow any violation of Section 30 of the Police Act. Deputy Commissioner of Police G. Ramakrishna stated that permission was refused because of heavy rains and Ganesh Nimajjanam.
