EntertainmentChief Communications Officer Georgia Juvelis to Leave AMC Global After 19 Years

Georgia Juvelis will step down as chief communications officer for AMC Global Media at the end of this year, wrapping up a 19-year run at the company. AMC Global Media is home to networks and services including AMC Network, AMC+, IFC, SundanceTV, BBC America, Shudder, and Acorn TV.

Structure Shift

With Juvelis leaving her role, the AMC communications team will shift to report directly into the business units that they serve. Longtime AMC Global executives Jim Maiella, Olivia Dupuis, and Matt Pollack will remain key players in steering corporate communications, talent, and entertainment activities.

Leadership Statements

AMC Global Media CEO Kristin Dolan praised Juvelis for her service, leadership, and dedication, noting that she has been a trusted colleague and partner who helped guide communications through major company moments. Juvelis first joined the company in 2007 when it was still called Rainbow Media and operated under the Dolan family's Cablevision corporate structure. That period coincided with the launch of hit shows like Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and later The Walking Dead, along with the company's 2011 public spin-off, the launch of AMC Studios, and global expansion.

Context

Executive departures often trigger organizational restructuring within media companies, such as shifting communications staff directly under individual business units rather than maintaining a centralized department. AMC Global has evolved over nearly two decades from a traditional cable channel group into a diverse multi-platform business featuring targeted streaming services and major entertainment franchises.
