Allotment and Listing
Investors who applied for the Jio Platforms initial public offering can now check their share allotment status. The finalisation took place on Monday, October 26, after the public issue closed on Friday, October 23. Successful applicants will receive equity shares in their demat accounts on Tuesday, October 27, while unsuccessful bidders will get their refunds on the same day. The shares are scheduled to list on the National Stock Exchange and the Bombay Stock Exchange on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
Subscription Numbers
The massive ₹30,213-crore public issue was priced between ₹1,065 and ₹1,119 per share, with a minimum retail application of 12 shares requiring an investment of ₹13,428 at the upper end. Overall, the issue received bids for 22.19 times the shares on offer, with total demand crossing ₹7.4 lakh crore and applications reaching nearly 1.39 crore. Qualified institutional buyers led the demand with a 70.55 times subscription, non-institutional investors subscribed 14 times, and retail individual investors booked 2.72 times their reserved portion.
Grey Market Trends
The grey market premium currently stands at ₹245 over the upper end of the issue price band. Based on these unlisted market trends, the stock is estimated to list at ₹1,364 per share, marking a potential gain of 21.89%. However, market experts note that the grey market premium remains an unofficial indicator and does not guarantee the actual listing price.
Context
Initial public offerings allow private companies to raise capital from the public by issuing new shares and listing on major stock exchanges. High subscription levels and strong grey market premiums typically point to high investor demand, though final stock performance depends heavily on broader market conditions on the listing day.
