The action sequel Lakadbaggha 2: The Monkey Business has delayed its global theatrical release from November 6 to early next year. Makers shifted the date to avoid clashing with the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Ramayana. Despite the theatrical delay, the film will hold its world premiere in Belgium on November 7 during the Razor Reel Flanders Film Festival.

Global Plans

The team plans to present the film at the American Film Market in November to find distribution partners in North America. Producers state that the schedule change helps them plan a much larger international rollout for the animal-lover vigilante franchise.

Part One Re-Release

Before the sequel arrives, the producers will bring the first Lakadbaggha film back to select Indian cinemas in November. This re-release lets viewers revisit the story of lead character Arjun Bakshi.

Context

Film studios often adjust release dates to stay away from high-profile festive window clashes and secure better screen counts. Major international film festivals and markets also serve as key platforms for independent Indian projects to build overseas business ties.
