Tractor‑Trailer Driver Dies After Tyre Rolls Over Him Near Yamunanagar

A 24‑year‑old tractor‑trailer driver died after a tyre rolled over him near Malikipur Banger in Yamunanagar. The driver, identified as Shekhar from Gayajuddinpur, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, fell from his tractor‑trailer when his balance slipped while returning from dropping cargo at Kallaamb, Himachal Pradesh on the evening of 27 September. Investigation officer Sunil said the driver was on the road when his balance was lost, he jumped off the vehicle and the tyre passed over him, causing severe injuries. Passersby rushed him to a nearby hospital, but doctors pronounced him dead. Police arrived, seized the tractor‑trailer and began an inquiry, later handing the vehicle to the transport department.
