Automobile majors Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles have released their financial results for the second quarter, drawing strong interest from stock market experts. Both companies offer attractive long-term investment options driven by rising car use, higher demand for SUVs, premium models, and alternative-fuel technologies.
Maruti Suzuki Results
Maruti Suzuki recorded its highest-ever quarterly sales of 6,96,654 units, marking a 26.5 percent year-on-year growth with revenue up by 26.1 percent. The company's domestic market share improved by 220 basis points to reach 40.8 percent in the second quarter of the 2027 financial year. However, its EBITDA margin fell by 330 basis points to 9.4 percent and profit after tax declined by 26.4 percent due to higher commodity costs, adverse currency movements, and lower non-operating income.
Tata Motors PV Results
Tata Motors PV reported a stronger volume growth of 40 percent with 2,01,723 units sold, helped by its SUV lineup and a 90 percent jump in electric vehicle sales. Experts note that while the company offers high growth potential through its electric and CNG models, it also carries higher execution risks. On the stock charts, technical analysts suggest fresh buyers and existing shareholders hold the stock with a stop-loss at 238 rupees for an upside target of 320 rupees.
