Features And App Integration
The compact device has no display, apps, or phone notifications. Instead, users view their health data on the Google Health app, which works with both Android and iOS phones. The tracker handles round-the-clock heart rate checks, heart rhythm tracking with AFib alerts, blood oxygen levels, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, and sleep monitoring. Google notes that better heart-rate tracking helps boost sleep analysis accuracy by up to 15 per cent, allowing the device to spot naps lasting 20 minutes or longer while offering a redesigned sleep score and smart wake-up times.
Battery And AI Coach
The wearable comes in four color choices: Obsidian, Berry, Lavender, and Fog. It delivers a battery life of up to seven days on a single charge using a magnetic charger, with a five-minute fast charge giving one full day of power and a complete fill taking about 90 minutes. Buyers also get a three-month trial of Google Health Premium. The built-in Google Health Coach relies on Gemini AI to study fitness data alongside personal details like nutrition, lifestyle shifts, injuries, and weather to give custom guidance through natural language chats.
Context
Google's new release enters a growing market for minimalist, screen-free fitness wearables first popularized by brands like Whoop, Oura, and Garmin. While some premium trackers rely heavily on ongoing subscription models, tech giants are now jumping into this space to offer data-driven wellness tools to everyday buyers.
