Union Minister Kishan Reddy stated in Hyderabad that the central government is fully supporting projects in Telangana and clarified that the BJP has no alliance with the BRS. Addressing a media conference, he said a positive decision will be taken regarding the coal linkage for the Yadadri thermal plant.
Political Claims And Criticisms
Kishan Reddy questioned why Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and former Chief Minister KCR did not build the Yadadri thermal plant to use coal available in Singareni. He remarked that the BJP previously lost in Khairatabad by mistake, but winning there now is certain, adding that the party wins people's hearts instead of stealing votes. Responding to Rahul Gandhi, he said political change in the country lies in the hands of the people rather than Rahul Gandhi, and criticized him for attacking constitutional bodies and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
Congress And Electoral Issues
Kishan Reddy demanded that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy explain what went wrong in Hyderabad regarding SER, while also criticizing the Chief Minister's remarks about Lord Shiva and Lord Rama as irresponsible. He accused the Congress party of having a history of dividing people by region and hurting Hindu sentiments, while questioning how the party won eight MPs in Telangana. He further asked if Congress wants to include dead voters and Bangladeshi voters, claiming that the party aims to create destruction by adding such voters, and alleged that the opposition criticizes the BJP and the Election Commission out of the frustration of defeat.
Context
Press conferences by senior political leaders in Hyderabad frequently serve as a platform to address state-level governance issues, counter opposition allegations, and outline party strategies ahead of upcoming electoral battles. These political exchanges often highlight sharp divisions between major parties over state development projects, central grants, and national policies.
