Growth Details

Domestic sales also improved compared to September 2026, rising by 9.85 percent and adding 5,633 units. This domestic surge helped offset a small 6.02 percent drop in exports from the previous month. The Hyundai Venue SUV performed strongly with 13,017 domestic units sold, making up over one in five vehicles sold by the company in October.

New Model Launch

Hyundai launched the new Bayon SUV on October 26 at a starting price of Rs 9,99,900. Positioned between the Venue and Creta, the Bayon runs on a 1.5-litre petrol engine and features dual 12.3-inch displays, ventilated seats, and Level 2 Pro ADAS. Hyundai Motor India Managing Director and CEO Tarun Garg stated that festive demand drove the exceptional results and noted that the Bayon will support expansion in India and over 50 export markets.

Context

Automobile manufacturers in India often see high sales volumes during October due to the festive season. New vehicle launches during this period help companies attract shoppers looking to make major purchases.
