Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor recently shared details of how he proposed to Alia Bhatt during a trip to Kenya.
The Proposal in Kenya
Ranbir Kapoor proposed to Alia Bhatt at the Maasai Mara wildlife reserve in Kenya, going down on one knee just a hundred feet away from three lions. He had earlier instructed their guide and driver to stop the vehicle in the middle of the forest and to take pictures from a distance so the moments could be posted on Instagram. Admitting that he felt terrified like a mouse while his partner stood before him like a lioness, he asked her if she would marry him. Amitabh Bachchan, who hosts the television show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' where Ranbir shared this story, expressed his amazement and called for proof. Ranbir appeared on the show alongside Nitesh Tiwari, Ravi Dubey, Sai Pallavi, and Namit Malhotra, who are part of the upcoming film 'Ramayana'.
Relationship and Family Life
Ranbir and Alia began dating in 2018 after working together on the film 'Brahmastra'. They got married on April 14, 2022, in a private ceremony at home in Mumbai, and welcomed their daughter Raha Kapoor in November 2022. On the game show, Ranbir spoke about the core pillars of a relationship being friendship, love, trust, and mutual respect. He also mentioned that every morning in their household now begins with playing the Hanuman Chalisa sung by Amitabh Bachchan.
Context
Celebrity proposals often attract significant public interest, especially when shared on popular television platforms by prominent film stars. The Maasai Mara in Kenya is a major wildlife tourism destination known for its large population of lions and other big cats.
