Mrunal Thakur film Pooja Meri Jaan receives a one and a half star rating

Film Plot And Cast

Mrunal Thakur stars as Pooja, a modern and independent young woman whose jilted boyfriend Aniket, played by Vikram Singh Chauhan, is dead. The blame falls on Pooja, and the investigating officer Jatin, played by Vijay Raaz, is convinced she is responsible and wants to make her pay. Pooja's lawyer is Sana, played by Huma Qureshi, who is a friend of Pooja even though she is not well-versed in criminal law. The movie is directed by Navjot Gulati and Vipasha Arvind, and it receives a rating of 1.5 stars.

Review And Treatment

Pooja has a busy dating life and does not feel she needs to rescue the men she is with. She and Aniket share a long-standing friendly relationship with one-off benefits, but she does not share his romantic feelings. When Aniket proposes on one knee with a ring, her reaction leaves things unclear as she does not clearly say yes and he does not hear a no. The film explores this murky space and features a lead female character who refuses to get boxed in, but good intentions are let down by a surface-level treatment.
